MeowScript LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our applications and services ("Services").

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide
• Support Communications: When you contact us for support, we collect your email and the content of your messages
• Feedback: Any feedback, suggestions, or testimonials you voluntarily submit
• Live Chat on meowscript.com: If you open our website chat widget and choose to start a chat, we collect the name and email you provide, the messages and files you send during the chat, the approximate browser time and page you started from, and your IP address and user-agent string (standard HTTP metadata used for abuse prevention). You must affirmatively opt in via a consent checkbox before a chat session starts. See Section 4 for details.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version (for compatibility and support purposes)
• Crash Data: If our app crashes, basic diagnostic information may be collected to help us fix bugs
• Usage Analytics: Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify individual users

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Precise location data
• Contacts or address book
• Photos, videos, or files (unless you explicitly share them)
• Browsing history
• Advertising identifiers

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information solely to:

• Provide and improve our Services
• Respond to your support requests
• Send important service announcements (security updates, changes to terms)
• Fix bugs and improve app stability
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

Most data in our applications is stored locally on your device. This includes app settings and preferences, cached data for offline access, and user-generated content.

Cloud Storage

If our apps use cloud features, data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest (AES-256), access controls and authentication, and regular security audits.

Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Support communications: Retained for 2 years for quality assurance
• Crash reports: Retained for 90 days
• Aggregated analytics: May be retained indefinitely (cannot identify individuals)

4. Live Chat Widget on meowscript.com

Our website includes an optional live chat widget for customer support. The widget does not open or transmit anything unless you click it. When you start a chat:

• What we collect: the name and email you enter, the content of your messages (including any file attachments you upload — PNG, JPEG, or PDF up to 10 MB), the timestamp, and your IP address / user-agent for abuse prevention and rate limiting
• Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): You must affirmatively check a consent box before a chat session is created. By checking the box, you consent to the collection and processing described here. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing or by using the in-widget "Delete my chat" option
• Session persistence: Your browser stores a local session token (in localStorage) so you can resume the chat on the same browser/device. Clearing site data removes it
• Where it's stored: Chat sessions, messages, and attachments are stored on MeowScript-operated servers (DigitalOcean infrastructure, United States) with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest
• Retention: Chat sessions and attachments are automatically deleted 90 days after the last message, or sooner if you request deletion
• Who sees it: Only MeowScript support personnel. We do not share chat transcripts with advertisers or other third parties
• What we do NOT use: third-party chat analytics, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking — the widget is first-party only

5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Tracking Technologies

Our website, meowscript.com, does not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies. The only client-side storage we use is:

• First-party localStorage for the chat widget (only if you start a chat) — stores your session ID and auth token so you can resume the conversation. Cleared when you clear site data

We load the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces from Google Fonts and Google Fonts CDN; Google's own privacy practices govern that request. No other third-party resources are loaded. The site does NOT embed Facebook pixels, Google Analytics, advertising tags, session replay tools, or marketing pixels.

6. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers (processors): Infrastructure providers we rely on to operate the Services — DigitalOcean (cloud hosting in the United States), Cloudflare (CDN / DNS), Apple and Google (in-app purchase processing, push notifications), Resend (transactional email). These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations and may only process data on our behalf
• Legal compliance: When required by a valid legal process (subpoena, court order) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MeowScript, our users, or the public
• Business transfers: If MeowScript is acquired, merged, or sells assets, user data may transfer to the successor entity, with notice to affected users

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access and Portability: Request a copy of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion / Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction: Restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent you previously gave (for chat, opt-in analytics, etc.)
• Opt-Out: Control diagnostic data collection and anonymous analytics in app settings; disable the chat widget by simply not starting a chat
• Lodge a Complaint: If you are in the EEA/UK, file a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact .

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA):

• Right to know: What categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the business purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it (see Sections 1, 4, 6)
• Right to delete: Request deletion of personal information we've collected about you
• Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Right to opt out of sale/sharing: We do NOT sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not engage in targeted advertising
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the Services
• Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

10. European Economic Area, UK, and Swiss Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR. MeowScript LLC is the data controller for personal information we process.

Legal bases we rely on:

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for the live chat widget, opt-in anonymous analytics, microphone use in WLED Max, and marketing communications
• Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide services you requested (e.g., process in-app purchases, deliver support)
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — automatic error reporting for app stability, fraud prevention, network security. You may object; see "Rights" above
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — to comply with applicable laws

Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.

11. International Data Transfers

MeowScript operates servers in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on standard industry safeguards (TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256 at rest). For transfers from the EEA/UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

12. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach affecting server-stored data, we will notify affected users and, where applicable, the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of discovery, in accordance with GDPR Art. 33 and applicable US state breach notification laws.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through our applications or website, and the "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
